Suitable Fabrics:

This pattern is designed for light to midweight fabrics such as linen, suiting, or denim. You may also use heavier weight fabrics such as canvas or wool, but if you do, we recommend omitting the fusible interfacing and using a lighter weight fabric for the lining pieces. Please note that we DO NOT recommend using fabrics with a tight weave, such as quilting cotton or cotton poplin. During testing we found that tightly woven fabrics did not offer the necessary give along the bias to fit the body well, especially at the armband.

The pattern calls for lining fabric, which is used for lining the under bust on the front of the top, and optionally the upper bust on the front of the top. Using a separate lining fabric on the upper bust is only necessary if the rest of your garment is being sewn from a light weight fabric, or if your fabric is too sheer for your comfort when worn. If you're using a lightweight fabric for the garment, you can use the same fabric for both the lining and the garment.

Please note that this listing is for a PDF Sewing Pattern, NOT a paper sewing pattern or a finished garment. Upon purchase, you will receive digital pdf sewing pattern files and written instructions. Once Etsy has processed your purchase, you will be sent a link to download the pattern files on your computer.

This sewing pattern has BEGINNER FRIENDLY sewing instructions, illustrations, as well as a YouTube tutorial to make the construction easy to follow. You will learn how to sew a dart, how to make bias tape, how to sew bias binding, and how to sew a lining.

Size inclusive pdf sewing pattern:

0 - 34, which correlate to Full Bust 31"-57" and Waist 24"-50"

This garment was fit tested by a plus size fit model before going into testing, where it was sewn and fitted by 45 people across the entire size range. Doing this helps ensure that you receive the best fitting pattern possible with easy to understand instructions and illustrations.

This pattern includes:

- Detailed instructions with clear illustrations

- Nested Print at Home Files (US Letter + A4 compatible) with layers

- Large Format File (A0/Copyshop)

- Projector File

- Detailed YouTube Tutorial: https://youtu.be/Bvrd8vb9AF4

Pattern Details:

- Wrap Around Skirt

- Long Ties

- Mini Skirt Option

- Maxi Skirt Option

- Four Darts

- Offset Front Overlap

Suitable Fabrics:

This pattern can be sewn with a wide variety of fabrics, but in our testing we found that medium weight fabrics on the sturdier side work best. These would include fabrics like wool suiting, canvas, denim, linen, cotton corduroy and cotton poplin. When using sturdier fabrics, we recommend using a lighter weight lining fabric, or omitting it all together and following the sewing instructions for an unlined garment.

Thinner fabrics or fabrics with more drape are also suitable; however, these fabrics can be more difficult to sew. Keep this in mind when choosing your fabric. For thinner fabrics, consider silk, satin, light weight cotton, and seersucker. In this case, we highly recommend using a lining with a similar weight to your main fabric to ensure that the fabrics drape well on top of each other.
